Rapper MONEYBAGG YO will join with SHELBY COUNTY SCHOOLS (SBS), MOUTH OF THE SOUTH, and iHEARTMEDIA for a virtual “BACK TO SCHOOL” block party TONIGHT at 6p (CT).

The MEMPHIS born rapper will donate 10,000 face masks to the faculty and students of SCS. In addition, there will also be performances and special guests at this evenings event.

Whitehaven High anti-violence event features camels and kangaroos

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Whitehaven High School was turned into a petting zoo Friday evening, with a camel, lemur, kangaroo, and really large snake.

“I ain’t never seen one of these before,” one junior said looking at the kangaroo.

The critters were part of a summer bloc party for kids. The free event, which included rides and food, was an attempt to keep kids out of trouble. Four more will follow in the coming weeks all over town.

Artemis “Peppa” Williams is the program organizer. His goal is to cut down on violence little by little.

For more than 20 years, Artemis Williams – aka Peppa Mouth of the South – managed to build an empire as one of Mid-South’s most treasured entertainment movers and shakers.

Now the former manager and current business associate of superstar Yo Gotti has completely shaken the Memphis music scene as he gears up for his legendary “Memphis Legends” concert tour.

Memphis Legends, which took two years in the making, will feature some of Memphis’ iconic underground music artists at the Blue Moon Sept. 2.
