Tamika Williams

Tamika Williams serves as the Director of Programming and Development for APW Agency to aid the organization in reaching more community members of the mid-south by expansion of events through private funding, co-advertising and grant requests. She is responsible for managing the agency’s program initiatives, research and strategic planning. She also serves as a member of the agency’s leadership team to help shape lead the agency’s future.

Ms. Williams is also a Student Support Specialist for Communities in Schools of Memphis. There, her focus is to help students stay in school. Tamika is stationed at Riverview K-8 School where she maintains attendance data, serves as a resource for co-workers, drives in family and community engagement and most importantly serves an advocate for students enrolled.

Tamika graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a minor in African and African American Studies from the University of Memphis. She has professional and volunteer experience with nonprofit organizations throughout the city of Memphis and enjoys grant writing to help peers reach their business goals.

Her motto is: “You cannot be, what you cannot see.”
